Visual Diary Week 12

Week 12:

I did some research of other universities' orientation weeks. Like UQ, they have Events and Activities to meet people, build friendships and join clubs and societies. However, I found Qut's orientation has fewer activities for students to engage themselves. So, during the meeting, we generally decided three main stakeholders: Students , QUT, and student clubs. Qut think the orientation attendance of student is just only 80%, they want to more attendance and make more profits. Students clubs want more studens join in their club and makes clubs better and stronger. Moreover, students want to have fun and make more friends by orientation. To satisfy their needs, we selected two basic schemes. One of the ideas is holding a basketball match to strengthen the connection among students. And another is to hold a party to welcome new students to engage most QUT students. QUT hold the party, and is in charge of discipline and scheme of this party. Meanwhile, students and students club can put on performance like dancing, singing, magic and etc. Students perform a same play with others who in same faculty. Through this party, students can show their talents and have more communication with others and thereby they can engage it and have more chances to make friends. To audiences, they can have fun and enjoy the performance. For student clubs, they can show their club's merits and details to  attractive students to join. Furthermore, QUT advertise this show and provide this platform to attract more students to ensure they enrolled in QUT  and obtain great reputation and profits. In addition, we made a simple PowerPoint to demonstrate how to improve O weeks and how stakeholders thereby make more money.
